Summary: Beautifully Executed
Review: J.K Rowling's book 'Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire, 4#' is a beautifully written piece of litriture, that I'm sure we can all relate to in some small way. It's fine and elegantly poised style heads this stella story that will burn fire in our souls for eternity. A gentle, yet whimsical perspective lets our hearts be guided to a soft and illumines light. Comfort reading.

Summary: The greatest book series I have ever read!
Review: I have read all the recent Harry potter books, and they getter better by the book! In this book, a combination between adventure, and creativity, J.K Rowling is a worshiped god to me. Her books inspire lots of young childeren to use her imagination, and just let it flow on paper. I think no book can top this fabulous series about an orphan boy who finds he has wizard blood. Also, he finds his long lost foe in every book and defeats him every time. Although I liked the 3er book better, The series is well outspoken with any other series. J.k. Rowling is the best author I have knowen about.HARRY POTTER ROCKS!

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I see all the rave reviews here and I wonder am I the only one offended when the author plays cheap tricks with the plot. Also, I didn't like the decidely dark twist the story took. The series' greatest charm up till now has been the off-beat innocence and naivete of the stories. There was a dark streak--there has to be in any tale of good vs evil, but it was balanced by the humorous twists tossed casually into the pot from time to time. Another problem I think I see here, is J.K. Rowling appears to believe she is too big a literary star to be edited. Goblet of Fire is repetitive and verbose in the extreme; at 738 pgs it was about 300 pgs too long for the story she had to tell. The last major problem--and it is HUGE--is the plot device of the Triwizard Tournament. I promise not to give the story away, but after you read it, ask yourself why the villian(s) went to all that time and trouble to do what could have been done in the same manner by chapter 5. "Harry, I've got something I'd like your opinion on. Would you please hand me that . . ." In other words Voldemort's trials have obviously affected his brain. The tournament is a total waste of time and words. Last of all . . . her choice of villian is a cheat. It violates almost all the basic rules of good writing and is a classic (bad example)of how to concoct an improbable soloution to what was shaping (despite all its many flaws) to be an otherwise decent mystery.

Summary: Magic as Reality
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is one of those amazing books that are written so well you think that it is real, despite its fantasy genre. J.K. Rowling explains everything in such immense detail and places the existense of wizards and witches so woven into our society that it makes me believe that there really is another "realm" out there. Reading Harry Potter leaves me longing for the familar towers and teachers of Hogwarts, even Professor Snape's scowl. It puts a magical spin on reality, leaving the reader breathless and turning page after page to find out how Harry gets himself out of his latest life-threatening situation.

Summary: Still one of the greatest books of all time
Review: I really cannot decide which book I like out of all four of them. They are just so brilliantly written, and I adore these books! They are the best books that I have ever read, and I CANNOT wait until the fifth book comes out. READ THESE BOOKS! YOU WILL ENJOY THEM!

Summary: Well worth the wait...
Review: I'm probably just reiterrating the reviews of other thrilled customers, but I feel that I owe it to J.K. Rowling to give her book yet another fantastic review. I'm almost 14 years old, still a kid technically, but out of the specified age limit. What's with that anyway? I've seen kids as young as 7 or 8 lugging around this 734-page novel. I've also seen 80 and 90-year olds with their noses stuck in this book. Just for the record- I read the first Harry Potter book long before the mania hit, but I wasn't the least surprised when it did. It's almost funny, I was sitting on a bench outside a resteraut reading Harry Potter and I saw (in a half and hour) 6 other people reading the Goblet of Fire. The book itself was amazing every step of the way. I never once lost interest. My Mom and I are equally obsessed so when the book came in the mail from Amazon.com, we wrestled for it. She got it first, but I stole it. She wouldn't let me take it with me to camp, so she got ahead, but I got back and took it to my room, and beat her to the ending. I think the hardest part of reading this book, other than fighting with my Mom over it, was learning to say Hermione- Herm-my-own-ee instead of Herm-ee-own. I hope that the next three books are equally impressive. I know that I, and all of you, will be waiting anxiously for year five.

Thanks, J.K.!

Summary: Harry is the Best!
Review: Hey every one! I just want to get my point across that Harry Potter is definantly without a doubt the best book series I've ever read in my whole life! And believe me, I read alot of books, cause I love reading. I just don't know how the author can come up with so many names and spells for these books! What an imagination! Thats another reason I love HP books, they're so full of adventure, fantasy, a little touch of horror, and best of all magic! Harry Potter is just one of those books that you can't stop reading once you start. I got so addicted to the 4th book that I read the whole thing less then a week! And now, I'm going 2 have 2 wait a whole nother year for the 5th book to come out! Each book is soooo exciting because each contains its own surprising twist at the end, that you never expect. Well in conclusion, my point is this- I LOVE HARRY POTTER!

Summary: They just keep getting better!
Review: I had discovered the series a couple months ago, and as soon as I finished Book 3, I was aching for more. Book 4 has been anticipated among millions--and it was definitely worth the wait! It was amazing how after I finished a book so long that it seemed so short. J.K. Rowling has combined all of the essential elements of a good story--humor, adventure, thrill, mystery and a little horror--and they all come together wonderfully in "The Goblet of Fire." I feel that the characters made this story so real, because you can relate to their emotions. The nosy and hideous reporter, Rita Skeeter, was introduced as a constant nuisance throughout the book; there to add to Harry, Hagrid, and Hermione's troubles. Moaning Myrtle makes an appearance once again, but this time instead of blubbering in her stall, she helps Harry along with a mystery. It's these characters, among others, who make you smile, laugh, and become frustrated or angry. I think because you feel how the characters do, you keep wanting to return to the world of Harry Potter as if you part of it. All three books were spectacular, but Book 4 is unique because it sets the stage for the growing plot of the series, and you definitely don't feel the completion like in the other books because you know something big is ahead. Overall, "The Goblet of Fire" is a wonderful story that draws you in to an amazing world you'll never want to leave!
