Summary: This was the best, most wonderful book I have ever read.
Review: The Elfstones of Shannara was the best book I have ever read in my entire life. I think this was the best book he has ever written and I think I have read them all. This book has ongoing action in every chapter and a wonderfully twisted ending so you can't predict it. He makes the characters feel like their a part of you and you can't stop thinking about them even after your done reading. It by far is the best book I have ever read and I thank my dad for introducing me to the series.

  Summary: Incredible!
Review: Impossible to put down, going back and forth from Allanon battling demons to Wil and Amberle on their journey south with the Reaper nipping at their heels. Every single page had my pulse pounding. No one but Terry Brooks can fill a book with such energy. I only had one complaint - what happened to that beautiful Hildebrandt art?

  Summary: Not disappointing
Review: This book is by no means disappointing. It's got a cool storyline and nicely built characters. The only problem I have with it is not in actual fact IT but rather Brooks. Terry Brooks is a descriptive writer who likes to go on and on about the scenery and people's expressions. It's cool at first but then it starts to become really trite and expectable. Otherwise, if you don't mind loads of narration, delve into this touching, slightly sentimental tale!

  Summary: Wonderful!
Review: This story was wonderful! I loved the characters. The only complaints I have are 1)Eventine's eyes were green in the Sword, and now they're blue, 2)Allanon does not seem as composed and forbidding and 3)It was so sad at the end. Those complaints are far outweighed by my compliments, but I can't say them without giving the plot away. Happy reading!!

Summary: All I can Say Is Ok
Review: This book is fair. By no means is it either good or bad. The Elfstones of Shannara focuses too much on demons and elves and doesn't follow the basic plot of the first and third books. One thing that dissapointed me was how this book was predictable. Another thing that discouraged me from giving this book a five star rating is the fact that Allanon does not have a main role until the end of the book. On the good side this book keeps you reading and it gives necessary background knowledge for The Wishsong of Shannara.

Summary: The book is an excellent fantasy done by a master author.
Review: Terry Brooks once again captivates the imagination and leaves you wishing for more in his epic novel-The Elfstones of Shannara. Wil Ohmsford and Amberle have to escape the evils of past magic and reach the Bloodfire before it's too late, creating an overall suspenseful atmosphere, but shrouded in the mystery is a mood that is at times spooky and chilling with the inevitable presence of the Reaper, who is the worst of the demons scouring the land for Amberle and Wil. Terry Brooks vividly describes the characters and settings, and the plot twists and turns to the end, keeping readers enchanted until the very last page.

Summary: Full of action and excitement!
Review: The Elfstones of Shannara is one of the best of the Shannara trilogy. This book would be 2nd best. The action in this book is double compaired to the first two. I like how Wil is trying to master the use of the Elfstones that is being blocked by his human blood. The ending kind of makes me sad because Amberle becomes the new Elcrys', even though it is a good thing I still wished she didn't have to become the Elcrys'.
