Summary: great adventure
Review: I don't know if I can really say how great this book was in only 1000 words. so i'll keep it brief. this book was wonderful!!! I loved the whole adventurous theme, mixed with trademark Xanth puns! wonderful again!

Rating: 4 stars

Summary: The Best of the Xanth novels in awhile
Review: I have been an avid reader of Piers Anthony's novels, I've read and own all of the Xanth series, as well as a number of his other series. And I must say that lately, the Xanth novels have not been quite as good, lacking in the original creativity that first attracted me to the series, but with this one, I believe life is once again breathed into the magical books. Dont' miss it!

Summary: Mundanes Experience Xanth and Like It!!
Review: I have been reading the Xanth books since the age of 13 when I first read Castle Roogna and then went back to read the first 2 books in Anthony's first trilogy which has turned into a series of seven "trilogies" spanning 20 years. I keep returning the his books purely because they continue to fascinate me. This book features a Mundane family that gets dumped in Xanth due to a hurricane that jumps into Xanth when the "net" that controls Xanth's magic is corrupted. It deals with budding sexuality, and how what you see is NOT always what you get. It also has an underlying theme of how parental abuse affects decisions. The ending will touch the heart of the most hardened critic. If it doesn't, maybe you missed the point.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: I have read all of the books in the Xanth series leading up to this book. I then waited for what seemed an eternity for this book to come out in paperback. When I finally bought it I just couldn't get interested - I'm not sure why, but I'm sure it had something to do with my new children keeping me busy. :^)

Anyway now that my kids are a little older and I have more time to read again, I dug this book out to read. I loved every bit of it and couldn't put it down. I read it in two days! The ending was perfect and I immediately searched the internet to see what book came next. I was rather surprised to see the long list of books that had been published since I bought this one! I'm dissapointed though, because the next book 'Faun and Games' doesn't seem to pick up on the Nimby/Chlorine storyline, but is something compelety different. I can't wait to find a copy to read - I just hope it says whats happens to them next!

My only complaint is the puns and sexual reference. The puns really got annoying and old. I guess I liked them though when I started the series in high school. The sexual references seemed uneccesary and I felt like they were being forced on me. I get it - panties freak men out in Xanth!

Despite those two things, I really enjoyed the book and I can't wait to get caught up (again!) on the series.

Summary: Nice! Different, unusual Xanth novel.
Review: I liked it! Why? Well, first of all because I like all Xanth books, they might not have strong themes but their /fun/ to read, take your mind off the every day worries. Then, its different... very! It has more than just puns, it's a little sad, and there's a lot of different, new ideas. I loved the idea of the demon X(A/N)th living in Xanth, and all the rest of them. And again, it's more serious than usual, for those of you who like that. READ IT!

Summary: I wanted to know the end so much I could barely pt it down.
Review: I liked the book alot. It was intersting and intreguing. I recmond it to you if you are thinking about gettin it. The book mankes more sence if have read 'The Source of Magic', by Piers Anthony, first. The plot was well written and had great character devolpment.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good, but not the best Xanth novel
Review: I love Piers Anthony's work, especially the Xanth series, so when I found this book I was anxious to read it. I thought the Demon X(A/N)th's part in the story was great and the ending was one of the best I've read in a Xanth novel. The Mundane family's part in it could have used a bit more work, in my opinion and the part near the end where Law of Averages was appealed could have done better if it was made to fit more than one chapter, as it seemed hurried. Still, it was a good read and kept you in suspence until the end. I would suggest this to a Xanth fan, but if there other Xanth novels you haven't read, I'd try those first

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Boring and childish
Review: I think this is the one book to stay away from. his sexual comments and puns are tiring after the first 10 times. the story is very stretched. the book was unable to portray much character on each individuals. perhaps readers should stick to the first few in the Xanth series.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Keep up the good work Mr Anthony
Review: I've always enjoyed the series of Xanth though I have had a hard time finding the titles in stock anywhere but when I do get them I read the book immediately I found this book refreshing with the new plot of bringing the Baldwins from Mundania and how both sides deal with language, terms, and slang I will always look forward to the puns and talents that characters are able to come up with. I especially liked the contest that the demons placed on X(a/n)th almost like a replay the little mermaid with a twist that only can be done in Piers Anthony style. I can only hope that we see more of the other demons in future novals
