Review: I read the book both in english and italian. no matter where you read, when, how old you are or what language you speak this is the book that will bring you back to childhood and at the same time make you a little better adult.

Summary: One of the Best series of books I've read.
Review: I read a lot but its only infrequently that I read a book that I can honestly eulogise about.But I think that the Lord of the Ring series by Tolkein deserves to be praised to the skies as it is a classic.People who give this book a bad review dont know what they are talking about.His characters are so life like that any "big person"(read human to those unacqainted with Tolkein speak) can relate to them.His fantasy world is intricately potrayed and the names he comes up with to describe the places and the people are fantastic.Bilbo,Frodo,Gandalf,Mordor- they roll off your tongue.I like the little bits of poetry that are interspersed and which are stories in themselves.Well all I can say is-Tolkein is the tops!If you want a book that you can read over and over again at any age and at any time this is the one.

Review: I have allways been enchanted with the characters of the Hobbit series. Tolkien has a way of putting you in the book with a three demensional feel. I feel as though I'm right in the middle of the action. He is an excellent writer, and keeps my attention, and if for some unknown reason I have to put the book down, I come back to it as soon as possible. I would recommend this book to people of all ages. My only dissapointment with the paperback boxed set was the book quality was poor, and I don't like the artistic version of the characters on the covers. But Amazon>com has them for a really great price. Eric

Review: If you haven't read this series yet, I envy you from the bottom of my heart. The first time you read it I guarantee you will be absolutely captivated. Tolkien's world is as beautiful and precious as ours, if not more so. Even the most powerful characters such as Gandalf have human qualities. I shed a tear on the page in which he left Middle Earth... these books are just amazing on so many levels it's impossible to list them all. You can always go back and read them again and enjoy them over and over. The songs and poems are beautiful, the battles truly epic, the history incredibly detailed and rich. Oh, just go buy it.

Review: These books are absolutely enchanting. I've read all of the books several times now and I am enthralled with the magnificent writing every time. I feel a connection with the characters and I can never put the books down once I pick them up. J.R.R. Tolkien is by far the most incredible writer of all time and these books will go down in history.

Review: I think these are some of the best books of all time. The Hobbit is the best of the four I think followed by The Return of The King. If you like long books and enjoy fantasy you will love these books. Even teens a older children will like these books. A collection to keep forever.

Summary: Brillant Beyond All Time!!
Review: The tales of hobbits, elves, orcs etc are thrilling and brillant. What a wonderfull imagination to create such a fictional masterpiece. I have read every book over and over and I am still amazed how much I truly enjoy reading each and every book. I would really love to see a filmmaker such as Speilberg bring to life the chracters of tolkein, that would be perfect!
