Summary: It had its moments, but...
Review: There were a few chapters here that were really good, reminding me of the great excitement I felt as I read through the first 4 books. But on a whole, Book 8 fell short of my expectations, as did Book 7. The story is dragging so slowly now that it's hard to keep reading, and there are so many seemingly-inconsequential characters here talking about nothing that I sometimes can't help but skim foreward looking for Mat to appear. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that the next book gets back on track.

Summary: This is good! why are you complaining dammit?
Review: This book was as good as any of RJ's books. Sure Mat didn't show his face in this one, but hold on he isn't gone. I was nailed into this book for several hours and as you can guess it didn't last that long for my hungry eyes. All of you that is thinking of buying this book but are a little bit uncertain because of some peoples reviews, dont you mind them at all. Listen to me and go down to the book store and buy it, the ones that complain on this book doesnt know better so please forgive them : )

Summary: Jordan is a greedy, cheating SOB.
Review: As anyone who has been reading this series knows, each book begins with a series of short scenes from the various camps involved in the plot of this story. Book 8(this book) ends in exactly the same way (the only one which does). The jacket of book 5(TFOH) says this series is a probable 8 book series. TPOD is the shortest book in this series. All of this tells me that book 8(TPOD) was split in half so there could be a book 9. Why not? The series is so popular, people will buy book 103 if he can keep it going that long (and with the amount of nothing that happens in this one, he may be able to). In my opinion, anyone who buys book 9 is just plain dumb. Yes, I do intend to read it(I'm as hooked as most others), but this guy(greedy Jordan) is why we have libraries. The 2 stars is for past remembrances. For those who are just beginning this series, I envy you. Right up to the point where you have to wade through this one.

Summary: A set up for the next book
Review: A set up for the next book. I would of liked to read more about Avieanda and Pern and alot more of Rand.

  Summary: Forget it
Review: This one is not worth your time, read one of the great new books out this summer, like "The Triumph and the Glory." The author obviously CARES about his readers and is passionate about the theme of his book, WWII. It is quite apparent that Jordan didn't care much about his latest book, so WHY SHOULD WE ?

 Rating:
Summary: Exellent sequel, the best yet.
Review: Robert Jordan has outdone himself with this latest book in his highly acclaimed Wheel of Time series. Many of the complicated, enchanting plots are settled in this novel, and many new ones are revealed. I hope Mr. Jordan keeps up with his promise to keep writing untill they nail shut his coffin!

 Rating:
  Summary: Loosing the grip!
Review: Unfortunately this book is not in any ways as good as the first 5 or 6 books. It's going downwards! I do wonder if Mr Jordan is just writing his books to earn more money or if he really has a good idea of his own story. I hope the next (last) will be much better then this one. It's easy to see a pattern among fantasyauthors: they write long stories with less and less content, the longer the story goes. And my question is: when will the last in this bookserie come?

Summary: First 300 pages were good, the rest...
Review: I rather enjoyed the first 300 pages of this novel, quite alot of stuff happening with many of the various characters, but after that it seemed to crawl to a halt. I don't actually remember the ending, or the plot of those last 300 pages. I guess you could say it started out with a bang (literally) and then slowed down to a halt, kind of the opposite from how most novels are set up :)

 Rating:
  Summary: A little too long...
Review: The first five books of this series were interesting enough, but the last three my interest is begining to wear thin. The Path of Daggers was not what I had expected...In fact I had to force myself to complete this book. Mr. Jordan is extending this series beyond its appeal to the readers. I found this rather sad because I really had enjoyed this series until now. The plot has become tedious and boring. I think this story should be finished....SOON!

 Rating:
Summary: Please,Please, Please get back to the plot
Review: Please Mr.Jordan take all this criticism as a plea to return to the story we all loved. The last two books have been a very slow crawl to nowhere, or so it seems at this point.
