Summary: Gripping and all consuming, a most excellent read!
Review: Fiest does an excellent job of drawing the reader into the Worlds of Midkemia and Kelewan. His characters are excellent and personable. He creates a good blend of magicians, warriors, elves, dwrafs and monsters.
I highly recommend reading Magician: Master and the books following it in the series. It'll keep you glued to your seat and cause you to ignore the normal necessities in life, such as food and water. That's how good it is!!

Summary: The wonders of Fiest
Review: This is by far the greatest book I have ever read. I was first introduced to the world of Midkemmia through the book Shadow of a Dark Queen. I fell in love with the people . I felt like I knew them , like I had grown up with them.
Then I found out that I had started at the wrong end of the story line. So without hessitation I purchassed all of the previous books that Fiest had written. I have now read all the books at least twelve times, excluding The Magician, which I have read over twenty times. I was lucky enough to purchase an original hardback copy of the book.
Fiest is by far one of the greatest writers in history. I can't wait for him to write more books

Review: This book picks right up were you were left
"hanging" in Magician: Apprentice. It lays the roadwork for what becomes the most inviting and Mystically action packed series. Where the characters become family members, generation after generation, an ability of characterization few authors master! I have read EVERY single book in the series TWICE!, simply because Feist could not put them out fast enough!

Remember Pug, the apprentice to Kulgan, who has been taken prisoner by the Tsurani. Is now the property of the Shinzawai. There he is visited by a Great One - a Magician on the Tsurani Homeworld of Kelewan - where Pug is discovered to have magical talents. He is taken and trained to be a Great One, and is given the name Milamber. As a Great One he finds he is the talk of the Empire for his ways. And that he is one who gathers power from both this World and Midkemia. And at the Imperial Fetival, during the Entertainment humiliates the Warlord. He is banished as a trader, and is to be killed. He escapes back to Midkemia. With his wife Katala, and son William. And with the aid of Macros the Black closes the Rift.
The book was completely gripping from cover to cover. Feist used imagination beyond belief, to bring a Fantasy Novel, worth reading over and over. A must for the avid fantasy buff, all that you could ever want is in this book!
The book had fast action on the epic level, and it makes you unable to put the book down. There is no doubt that Raymond E. Feist, has come close to outdoing himself!

this name!! This 4 book series builds with almost nothing in the way of fast happenings... It builds like quality foreplay

a Dragon-Lord returned on the edge of maddness, political intrigue, a magician named PUG, and more. Iv'e read this book many times now and Raymond's incrediable characterizations and his worldly knowledge never stops
to amaze me. This book ,and the rest of the series, blow Tolkien out of the water. In fact he blows every body out. Think about it, if all of these people are saying all of this stuff about his work, then the man must be doing
something right.
By the way no disrepect to Tolkien, he was the original. Feist just improved on it
