Summary: One line just won't be enough...
Review: This was possibly one of my favorite books. It starts off fairly slow, but it builds to a poignant end. I remember crying at the end, I was so drawn into the vividly depicted world of the D'Ni. I don't know what else I can say, my words will probably drop far short of my feelings. This truly is a good read.

Summary: Best of the three!
Review: This was absolutely terrific! I read the trilogy and this is the one that has completely captivated me. Get through the first 50 pages of rock talk and boring stuff, and you will find yourself one with the characters. THis is one of the few books that gave me a desolate feeling upon completion. It had become my friend, and suddenly, I've finished reading it. NO more about Aitrus and Anna. YOU WILL LOVE THIS!

Summary: An excellent example of a richly detailed book!
Review: I have to say that i am impressed with this book. Although the ending left me craving more i cant say that that is a bad thing. I have read the first two books published and have yet to read the third. When I began this book I didnt fully understand the vast array of the Di'ni culture and society, but as I read i discovered a vast world filled with secrets and such. I guess the feel of being a part of this underground world made me think that I was discovering a new land. I even read this book more than once and enjoyed it more then than the first time. If you are a sci-fi or adventure fan, or even if you are not, then i would highly suggest thhis book to you and your friends.

Summary: You Want Imagination? So Do I....
Review: You'll get all the imagination you can get in this book. This books has more than one theme though. It has love, horror, action, evil, imagination, fantasy, fiction, and many more. Whatever taste you have, you'll enjoy this book. If you want to see the fairies dancing in the moonlight, or the Peruvian gods in all of their might, or the fragile thread that weaves all sight, read this book. The ending can never truly be written.

Summary: Very interesting!!!
Review: This book is very interesting because it describes how the D'ni people live. About 80% of the book takes place in D'ni. There are three books in this series, but it does not really matter what order you read them in. I suggest you read them in 2-1-3 order because that is the order that they take place in. You also would understand why people act as they do better. Just to let you know how the time passes between the books I'll give an example: In The Book of Ti'ana (the 2nd book) Gehn is just born. In the book of Atrus (the 1st book) Gehn starts out being 19. And in The Book Of D'ni (the 3rd book) Gehn is dead.

Summary: Ti'ana shows promise, falls only slightly short of stardom.
Review: As we can see, "Myst: The Book of Ti'ana" has little to do with the world of Myst itself. Ti'ana (as I shall refer to the book henceforth) is an incredible prequal to Atrus. However, the book tends to be slow in the begining and hard to follow towards the end. I believe a healthier medium could be set. Still, I found the story of Veovis, Agaeris, Aitrus (this is not a misprint, read the book of Atrus to know why), Anna, and the fall of the D'ni (pronounced DUH-NEE, I recently discovered) empire intriguing. If you read this book, you are up for a great story, but you will probably have to backtrack a few times to fully understand.

Summary: Needs better writing
Review: I am probably the biggest fan of the whole MYST genre out there; I live for it. MYST was my first immersive game and I could tell that there was some real thought that went into it. It was subtle enough to be realistic, while at the same time having enough fantasy to be intriguing and fun. Imagine my surprise when MYST: The Book of Atrus did the same. It really captured the subtlty of human interaction in that the dialogue was concise, the people were thought out, and the story took long enough to develop itself. MYST: The Book of Ti'ana came close, but lost it in the simple fact that it did too much in too little time. If they had carried out the dialogues and character development out a little more, and allowed the people to flow more smoothly, it would have worked much better and possibly have surpassed the original.

Summary: Can't stop after just this one.
Review: After reading this one, I couldn't stop here. It was a wonderful story in which all you presumptions of society are torn down and replaced with the glory and triumph of D'Ni.

Summary: This is one of the best books you will EVER read! REALLY!!
Review: Myst, The book of Ti'Anna is a book that will pull you into the world of Myst. Think about the game(s). Characters get "pulled" into other worlds. When you read Myst, The book of Ti'Anna, that is exactly what will happen to you. You will "feel" for the characters, and wish that you could acctually be in their world so that you could interact with them, and help them when they are in trouble. The detail is just like the games themselves. No detail is spared, in character develpoment, the environment, or the situations the characters are involved in. Make Myst YOUR world. READ this book!! You will not regret it.

Summary: A great book of explainations for whoever knows not the D'ni
Review: A most excellent read, well constructed and well-written. It explains a lot and serves to give the games of Myst and Riven more life plus filling in some of the gaps that the games (by their very nature) cannot help but exhibit. My only question is when is the next one due out? I have read Atrus, D'ni and Ti'ana. How about one centered more around Riven and Gehn and his imprisonment of Catherine and Atrus' sons, Sirrus and Achenar and the story behind all that. Keep it going, guys. You have a great thing here. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole series (however many there will be) becomes a classic. How about selling a set, hardbound, gold leafed, leather covers, with D'ni symbols on the covers? There are probably a lot of people who would dearly love to own such a set, most especially me.
