Review: It was so good, i felt like I was there. It was beautifully written, and it was all about Luke. It's nice to see that he also can fall in love. It's a pity that he didn't get the girl, though.

Review: For all those people who said this book sucked I say this book is one of the best ever written! I read it over and over (in fact I'm in the middle of it again right now). Kathy Tyers can write excellent Star Wars. Of course, next to Hambly's books, this books get fifty stars at least.

Summary: Slow starting, but generally not too bad.
Review: The book started off in the first chapter really well with the aftermath of the Battle of Endor from ROJ. Then the book became confusing with these aliens who had strange names, were difficult to picture in your mind, and became annoying to fit in. The storyline goes off on a few tangents and gets hard to understand, but then near the end, it gets a lot better. Generally worth reading if you are a big Star Wars fan, but not recommended for those just starting to get into it.

Review: This SW novel is after ROTJ. Pretty good, but the Jedi Acadimy trilogy and Shadows of the empire are better

Review: The plot was a little confusing. To many wierd characters with very confusing names, like all those stupid Ssi-ruuk guys. I'm not saying the books bad, but it's a little boring until hit the last 100 pages.

Review: Tyers has proved that she is very capable of writing a descent Star Wars novel. The book started slow. There was no action, just a bunch af talk about getting Bakura to join the Rebellion. It got better within the last 100 pages which saved from getting 1 star in my review. My advice is not to buy it but look for it in a local library because it is worth the read, but you shouldn't waste your money on it.

Summary: Complicated names, weak and far out plot
Review: What is this thing with complicated names anyway? I mean, in K.T.'s book names like Ssi-ruuk and Shreeftut, Firwirrung, Manchisco, Ssiruuvi and some other complicated names keep poping up. Why don't writers stick to George Lucas philosophy when writing a book? I mean, how complicated are Luke Skywalker or Han Solo anyway? The book starts weak but takes off on page 100 aprox. It is well writen but names keep making it hard for one to follow the story, like a bad soap opera (Is any soap opera good?)The thing i couldn't stand is this far out stuff about Ssi-ruuks sucking some guy's soul and using it to pilot killer space droids. Get some other S.W. book.

Summary: Pretty Good!
Review: Unlike, Hambly's sucky characters, this book introduces a woman with some pretty strong opinions. (kinda like Mara) The plot was easy to follow and the end kept me on the edge of my seat. I thought it was sort of quizzical in some spots. It portrayed Luke almost as if his fight with Vader never really happened. He gets that farmboy air again, which makes it more enjoyable. Luke and Gaeriel became closer but still didn't have all the answers. That's what I like in a book. One which the characters aren't high and mighty, are witty, and have weaknesses like everyone else. This is a great book in which I'm always willing to read over and over.

Review: The Truce at Bakura was exciting but at first it was boring but don't worry it gets good.I liked the Ssi- ruuk and how cruel they were to Dev Sibwarra. Gaeriel Captison was beautiful and kind. The whole story takes exactly after Return of the Jedi. Kathy Tyers is a true Star Wars writer. She explains Bakura wonderfully and each character is either a good friend or worset enemy. Get the Corellian Triolgy too because Gaeriel is in it. The Truce at Bakura is a fun book!!! Don't save your money on this one it's a true winner!!!!
