Summary: Read this book!
Review: Once you start readng, you won't want to stop. This book is original and compelling. It offers a whole new look at the "dark side"! Anne Bishop is a gifted writer and I can't wait for the next book in this series which is supposed to be a trilogy, but I hope turns into more! The characters are well written and come to life.

Summary: Brilliant...
Review: I got introduced to this book by a friend who said I just absolutly had to read it. Come to find out, I loved it!!! I cannot wait for the last and hopefully wonderful book...but a one year wait???! One of my favorite charecters was Daemon...I wish he were a real guy! I'd love to get ahold of him!!! All I can say is this book is definently worth reading!

Summary: I adore these books!
Review: I finished Heir to the Shadows the very same day I received it, and loved it just as much as the first. Anne Bishop paints vivid pictures with her writing, and all her characters come alive in her books. I can't wait until the third book comes out, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it just as much as the first two...

Summary: something gothic
Review: when i first heard about the book being one that touches on the dark side, i was quite apprehensive about it, because how many people actually have heros called Daemon, Lucivar or Saetan for that matter. but once i got my hands on the first book i was hooked and the second book finally revealed who Lorn was.truly riverting and gripping, a page-turner and i can't wait for the last book. but one thing puzzles me though, what's the chalice got to do with the whole story? is it a representation of the magic, ot sanity of a person? good job anyhow!

Summary: One liners have never really been my thing . . .
Review: Love this book. Especially for the glimpses of what's to come. Could I get hands for war and political rhetoric? What Heir did was set-up everything for the 3rd book. Somebody else said that this was probably a 4 book series . . . I think so too that's why every mention was so fleeting. This book was amusing and gave you all the information you're probably going to need for the last *sniff* book in the series. Can't put any of them down. These books have actually made me start reading again after severe disillusionment with the fantasy novelists . . . I thought there was nothing left to read. Then (AFTER telling my friend specifically that I DIDN'T want to get involved with a trilogy . . . I just wanted to read something fun that I didn't have to think about and trash it . . . ) . . . she gave me this book and Daughter and I've been slapping her around and kissing her feet ever since. PLUS passing them around to all my friends. (Sorry Kimberly)

I'd also like to say that I'd love to see Micheal Turner turn this into a 'graphic novel' or an Anime version. Just 'cuz it'd be neat.

Summary: A truly brilliant piece of work!!!
Review: So far I have read both books, and I have loved them both very much and cannot WAIT until Queen...comes out. For those who are mad that there wasn't much of the Sadist in the sequel is because it focused more on Lucivar, just like you read more about Daemon in the first book the second one was more on Lucivar. I think that the sequel was just as good as the first. It continues the story which I have throughly read again and again, until Heir came out. If you like gothic science fiction then you'll love this book. This book will grab you and won't let go till you finish.

Summary: Discovery---astonished!!
Review: I first discovered her first book in a second hand book store and was reluctant to buy it because it was part of a series--but I'm glad that I did because I laughed and cried with these characters and I think that all three books were one book--it seems that way!! The endings just seen like the next page should be chapter wahtever. Anyway, I can't get enough of these books--but I do agree with everyone when I say--MORE OF DAEMON!!!! He is so compelling and I have to admit that if I met that guy, I'd be just like all those other women, I'd want to get my hands on him even if it hurt!! Also I was wondering if anyone knows exactly when the next book in the series is coming out. Thank you!!!

Summary: Gothic Fantasy, flawed but not fatally
Review: I'm giving this book five stars inspite of its flaws, which I think might be editorial.

I have the distinct feeling from the symbolism of the book that this might have been conceptually a four volume set and not a trilogy-- the four sided triangle mentioned several times. Anyway, there's a dead spot about three quarters of the way through this volume. I read the first three quarters at break neck speed then got pulled up short and it took me a while to actually finish it.

Other than this though, the gothic world of the Blood is both interesting and entertaining. It reminds me of early Tanith Lee and I am definitely eager to get my hands on the next volume.

Summary: I don't know what to write here so: I really think this...?
Review: This really is a "page turner". I mean, I couldn't wait to find out what the next page said. It's a great book and I think you should get it. =).

Summary: It was an o.k. book
Review: This book was good, I mean I read in about a day, it really gripped me, however it skipped around too much. Pointless things happened in the book like that battle against the Jhinkas, there was no point to that. And Janelle has soooo many friend, you can't keep track of them all. But never the less, I liked the book and I can't wait for Queen of the Darkness.
