Summary: Couldn't put it down!!!
Review: This book has appeal to almost anyone who reads it. Although I was skeptical, I began to read about this mystical land. Even as a high school senior, I was intrigued and interested. It caught me right off from the start! The whole plot including elves, dark beasts and men was like nothing I have ever experienced before. If you like books that will grab your attention and not let go, I definitely recommend this book to you.

Summary: This book is magic!
Review: This book introduces us to the mysterious world of Ruin Mist. I'll be the first to admit that I am late in joining the Ruin Mist craze. My son wanted to read it, so we read it together, and I was pleasantly surprised!

It's the story of a great change coming to a magical world and those that have a part in that change. Vilmos is a young boy. He lives a somewhat normal life with his "mother" and "father", until his dreams become more than figments of his imagination. With the help of a mysterious benefactor, Vilmos gets away just before he is found out for what he really is (a wizard-to-be). It is also the story of a princess, who is heartbroken, and the journey she undertakes that changes her life and helps her come to terms with the loss of her mother.

Robert Stanek put together a true masterpiece. Not only did the book set the stage for the following books, but it allowed the reader to feel like they were right there within the story. This is one well written book, as it has a little bit of everything. There's well-developed characters, mystery, suspense, conflict of good vs. evil, and more. This was a truly good book and a pleasure to read. This book should be enjoyed by readers of all ages!

Summary: Robert Stanek is GREAT!
Review: This book is the best I have read in a long time. As a newcomer to reading fantasy books, The Elf Queen and the King seemed like a good place to start. It wasn't as complicated as a lot of Fantasy novels, which made it easier to get into. The only trouble is that once you get into the book, you really cannot put it down. I found myself reading the book in a very short time. Not to give to much of the plot away, one of the most amazing pieces of writing I have ever read are the chapters relating to Emel and Adrina.

Summary: Awesome!!!
Review: This was where I found my favorite author! I have read all the ruin mist books in this saga. I cannot wait for more. I suggest if you like fantasy this will be great every time. Robert Stanek explains everything so clear. The characters seem real!

Summary: What an adventure--an excellent read
Review: What a breath of fresh air after all the cardboard cut-out fantasies I've read in the past. It is an incredible saga set in a world of myths and legends. Jumping from one character to another, seeing life through their eyes and getting to know their motives is an amazing, amazing treat for fantasy readers. At first you think that the actions of one character are good or bad, but then when you get inside their head you find out that their way of thinking is justified to THAT character and it all depends upon your point of view, and you get many great points of view.

Did I say this novel is original? NO other book I have EVER read captured my imagination the way "Elf Queen and the King" did mine. It is very compelling and so well thought out you wonder sometmes if you aren't reading an account of something that actually happened rather than fiction. Read this novel. Enjoy this novel. Go to book two.
