Rating: Summary: Fast reading Popcorn read..But fun! Review: I couldn't put it down. But had to.
A good start on what I hope will be a good series from the author of "Mother of Storms".
Fast paced action novel of the alternate universe genre. With a Hero you can like, novel twists of plot, bad guys you can hate and still be PC. I liked figuring out the counterparts of the people he meets in passing.
Rating: Summary: Good stories ...Bad characters Review: I glanced over several of the reviews that people gae this book and found that not to many of you saw it in the same way I did. I found the story to be very interesting and not without merit, however, the main character, Mark Strang, is very egotistical, and the way his family is discribed is as if it is unimaginably perfect. I have read the trilogy several times to try and see it from a different angle, but I have failed to. Many people who read this book will like it, many won't. I guess it depends on your own personal taste.
Rating: Summary: Wow. Review: I read all three Timeline Wars books in a row, so maybe I have a different perspective about it than some. I found the main character, Mark Strang, to be a person I could sympathize with and who I could understand, yet Barnes still managed to make him a fourth dimensional, real character with complexities and intricacies seething just below the visible level. This book is technically accurate, as far as it goes, intelligent, sympathetic, poetic, and just plain fun with the odd concepts it develops. The part where the main character remembers what happened to his wife is absolutely heart-breaking.

Rating: Summary: A great book about alternate histories Review: I really liked this book. I had read Encounter With Tiber (with Buzz Aldrin) before, and it sparked my interest. I recommend both.
Rating: Summary: Good Time slip novel Review: The title is a bit misleading, but Patton IS in the book! :-)
The book starts out fast with a History student moonlighting
as a body guard service. He's good, and has reason to get better!
Nothing like revenge to keep the reader interested. This book
has a Big Plate! Terrorist that are supplied from another Earth.
Good guys fron a mirror Earths past ( 2000 years ago ) that WON a war
that was lost on our Earth. Bad guys that help Germany of 1938
win the war on other earths, it's up to our body guard hero to stop
them. Koool weapons in this book, but not too far out. Occupied
America and the bad things that happen, Jews, gassed, blacks
are turned back into slaves, but they get to have some fun when
America is freed, by..........Patton! :-)
Rating: Summary: Different, yet good... Review: This isn't your normal type of SF story. AT least not the kinds I have read. Most of the story did not have a SF feel to it, but the plot was interesting enough to make it an enjoyable read. The book did open up interesting possibilities for sequels, so we'll see where the story goes from there.
Rating: Summary: Man oh Man!!! Review: Very good repeats itself quite a bit but worth it!! You follow the adventures of a man who is looking to avenge his famies death (common enough plot) but what he finds will blow you away. If you love Alternate History it is a must buy!!!
