Summary: Enticing beginning
Review: Following along the lines of Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings', this book does a great job of both telling a story and setting up a bigger story. Never do you feel that you're getting too little information, yet you know it's only the beginning. As you journey with Perseus and Cyprian (the epic's hero and `sidekick') you feel their conflicting emotions of following a path to an unknown destination. Each step is described with a precise passion that turns an unknown world into a place as familiar as your backyard. The weaving of two worlds - one mythical and the other the reality we enjoy - makes for an interesting story that balances between a dream and a creative childhood adventure.

Summary: A book for young and old adventurous intellects
Review: The poetic style of the author I liked best. It felt like I was reading an age-old epic that my high school English class syllabus somehow omitted. The curious adventure, the suggested questions of existence and purpose, and the religious innuendoes make this a true piece of unique literary art. Although the reading level of this book allows a teen to enjoy its adventure, the layers of its message provide a rich depth that will entertain maturest of crowds.
I am captivated by the plot that is unfolding and can't wait to find out what will befall Perseus in the 6 books to follow!

Harry Potter intellects will love this book.
