Rating: Summary: Not so Review: Alot of hype about this book, personnaly its alot of common sense, you would better of subscribing to the magazines and gathering information from there as opposed to getting it all doucmented in one book.My advice check it out first before you purchase it.
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: An excellent get started book. A must read, good pictures and illustrations.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining & informative Review: I loved it. This is a great book for learning salt water fishing inside and out. The text is written to accomodate all levels of fishermen/women, and it is an interesting read. The how-to stuff is fantastic. It's filled with good pictures. It's an excellent gift for anyone who wants to learn more about the sport, but you'll want to read it before giving it away!
Rating: Summary: Good, but not Great Review: Overall, this is a pretty good book. It covers a lot of basic as well as more advanced techniques. The information is up to date, well written, with good photos and illustrations. The only thing that can be improved is more detail on more species. The book covers about 20 specific species and everyone will find something of value. Included are inshore, surf, pier, jetties, blue water, bottom, and shallow water species. Unfortunately, each species is limited to about 3-4 pages of information. A bigger book with more information on each species would make this a great book!
Rating: Summary: Great how-to fishing information. Review: This book has some really great how-to information which will help me improve my technigues and my catch. All of the big names in salt water fishing have a chapter, like George Poveromo, Lefty Kreh and even Mark Sosin. The information has already helped me. I say, "Go for it!"
