Review: This is a beautiful book. The author is a photographer, and it consists almost entirely of large photos from competitions all over the United States. What is most unusual about the photos is that many of them are of ordinary riders, not just the frequently photographed superstars, and that his work frequently includes the rider within the entire setting - so rather than just a horse and rider, you get some context, both for the scene and for what competing is all about.
