Review: Bob Arnold provides a beautiful tour of his home waters of the last 30 years. Tales of the N. Fork of the Stilly, the Grande Ronde, Sauk and most importantly Deer Creek abound. Adding to this collection of fishing tales and indiriect adivce is the tragic tale of the destruction of a true gem of a resource, the native summer-run steelhead of Deer Creek. His account of the mismanagement of logging practices in the Deer Creek drainage, and his role in the ongoing recovery, is a stern warning about the fraility of our most valuable resources. Excellent read.
