Rating: Summary: 2001 Edition Like Others - Five Stars Review: If you've read the previous 11 editions of this book, you know what you're getting....namely relavent questions, revealing essays, and intelligent number crunching. As usual, the book is divided into essays on teams, offense, pitching, and fielding. One of the best essays in the 2001 edition is "Have Hall Of Fame Standards For Pitchers Gotten Too Strict?". I enjoy reading this book every year because it asks the questions that make sense and *should* be asked and answer them with a readable use of stats. Some of the books that ran off numbers without much explanation are not very useful or not very good reading. Baseball Scoreboard makes sense of the statistics and, more importantly, makes it enjoyable. Buying this book each year is one of my favorite signs that spring has arrived.
