Rating: Summary: So-So book Review: The Book is O.K. and gives a far introduction to the Wu (Wu Chuan You)style of Tai Chi Chuan. But readers will get a more detailed veiw of the transition of the movements of this style from "Wu Style TAICHICHUAN--Forms, Concepts and Applications of the Original Style" by Wu Ying-hua & Ma Yueh-Liang. However, it would be better to simply take a class with a qualified instructor, that way you'll learn faster and you can be sure you're learning it correctly.
Rating: Summary: So-so book, but unique Review: The Wu Style of Tai Chi Chuan is a relatively old book from 1982 by master Tinn Chan Lee, student of master Wu Kam Chin. This book is about the Southern variation of the Wu style, and as such deserves it's own place. However, this doesn't justify it's shortcomings, namely that the photographs show the transition from technique to technique only poorly. The photos shoot is also poorly lit. In short, you can't learn much Tai Chi from it, even if you already know another style. I would say, strictly for followers of the southern version of the Wu Qwan Jou style, and (ex-) students of mr. Tinn Chan Lee.
