Summary: Good motivator
Review: I bought this book as a person who could already run about 20 minutes without stopping, mainly because I wanted something for motivation to keep me going and increasing my time. The book starts you at 10 minutes a day, so I just added 5 minutes to each day since I could already run that far. The book actually encourages you to personalize its program, adding or subtracting time as you need to, or even starting with a walk-run program for those who have never run before. The book is designed to be read one day at a time, though I read the whole thing in a couple days, then went back through and reread each section on the particular day I did that run.

The book contains good information, some of which seems obvious after the fact, but is actually stuff that I had never thought of before. The day-by-day format is good motivation to run every day that you are suppose to also.

Summary: Terrific guide to running!
Review: I love this book. I could barely run two minutes without stopping, but somehow being told to run 10 minutes gave me the mental push to actually do it. I soon learned that the first 10 minutes are always the hardest. Once you get past those 10 minutes, your body is warmed up and your breathing becomes more relaxed, and you can go a lot longer. If you expect it to be easy, then maybe running isn't for you. But if you're serious about becoming a runner, this book is for you. Although I was close to 50 pounds overweight when I started the book, I was able to follow it religiously. I just wish he had another one for the next 90 days. I guess it's time for me to start his 4 hour marathon book!

Summary: Terrific guide to running!
Review: This book is so great! I was looking for a book that didn't start you out with a walk/run combonation (because i already did that). Instead I wanted a book that would start you running right away. I think this book was just what I was looking for. It takes you through each day and it gives you tips for each day and also acts as a running log. To those who are seriously out of shape right now I would recommend you start with even a smaller segment of time or try 10 minutes of walk/running first, because the first day you are suppose to run 10 minutes straight (which can be a little tough at first). I challenge anyone to give this book a try, it's really awesome!
