Rating: Summary: Covino Covers It Completely Review: It's nice to come across an intelligent work on practical tips for getting fit and staying fit regardless of your age. Employing many fitness ideas and weight training techniques from legendary bodybuilding icon, Steve Reeves, Mr. Covino uses a sensible and practical way to weight training, nutrition, and training in general. And he keeps an open mind on the subject matter. He realizes we're all built differently and all of us develop muscle tone in different ways. He offers tips for all groups. And unlike some fitness books, it's not "his way" or "no way". Covino simply recommends the training, diet, and discipline that has so successfully worked for him, and how he'd like others to be a part of that success. In short, we're getting notice about the proper "do's" and "don'ts" for looking and feeling better, how to avoid injury, and what to eat (with some margin of freedom). And like Reeves, Covino stresses the "all natural way" of getting to your peak, not the shortcut "chemical route". There's no infomercial tone here either. He doesn't make any guarantees or promises, just a strong encouragement that a good and thoughtful training technique can gain substantial results for many. To no surprise, this subject matter expert writes with enthusiasm and energy. It's an easy read, yet comprehensive and detailed in every chapter. The hours of research in pulling this topic together are obvious. Joseph Covino, Jr, a well-known and well-respected author on many fronts, has now added physical fitness training to his long resume of literary accomplishments. From every muscle group to every food group, to every sound bite of bodybuilding history, it's all here. Stay on course with Covino; it's a great read and it makes great sense. Thanks for the help Joseph! You're "hot" and definitely on to something!
