Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A little bit of history that's fun to relive
Review: I bought this book for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. He says it contains a lot of little known facts and makes one appreciate the history of "the game" as baseball is known today. He is an avid baseball fan and, in fact, was scouted by the majors when he was younger. Unfortunately, a broken collar bone (motorcycle accident) ended his career before it got a chance to really take off (a shame for the game of baseball!) He said he found out a lot about "the olden days" that he didn't know and for HIM not to know something - it had to be hidden really well. He's a dyed in the wool reader of non-fiction and this just set right with him. He was only upset that he couldn't give it a 15 star rating!
