Summary: Running Renegade! The Florida State Seminoles Story
Review: I'm very disappointed with this book. If this is the story of FSU football, we haven't done much in 50 years plus. First of all the price is way too high. At over $20, I was expecting a fairly informative book. There is one paragraph about the first (1947) team, and one paragraph about our next coach, Don Veller, most of the paragraph about the Cigar Bowl win from 1949. It talks a little bit Coach Bill Peterson and about Fred Biletnikoff and mentions Bud Whitehead and Steve Tensi then goes into the Bobby Bowden era. Did I miss something? What happened to coaches Tom Nugent, Perry Moss, Larry Jones and Darrell Mudra? What about all-americans Del Williams, Kim Hammond, Ron Sellers, Gary Huff, Barry Smith, JT Thomas. And these were guys before the Bowden era, the information about our all-americans during the Bowden era is also lacking. Not much is even mentioned about Charlie Ward. I wouldn't recommend this book to a Seminole or anyone who wants to learn more about the FSU football team.
