Review: This book was an amazing book. Once i got reading the book i did not want to put it down, thats how good the book was. The Giver made you think while reading the story and makes you realize things about life and makes you think about what you usually wouldnt think about. The story is mysterious and adventurous. It's an imagination with reality. wow its a fanastic book. I totally recommand this book. If you are bored and need something new and exciting this is the book to read!!

Summary: Interesting, but what a waste of a good ending
Review: This book was an excellent book, for a while. The begginingwas a little hard to understand, but it was cleared up soon. LoisLowry just DESTROYED the ending, though. It was so confusing, it might as well have been written in Greek! The end made me want to stop reading.

Review: This book was an unexpected delight. Most readers will find that this book is well written and, if your imagination is still working, a book for people of all ages. There were some parts of the book that tried too hard to bridge reality and fantasy but they were still well done. The book also hit on some of the very toughest problems within our own society. Bravo!

Summary: The Giver is not for the young teen...
Review: This book was assigned reading for my college Library Science course. I was very moved by the horrors that were common in this world and if we boil it down it shows us what is going on in OUR world. I would save this book for Freshman or Sophomore high school students. I think that not only are some of the scenes very real and heartbreaking, but it requires a certain maturity level to be able to understand what it is telling us. If this book doesn't inspire a strong desire for social change it has fallen on ears unable to hear its message.

Review: This book was awesome.To be compltely honest i dont enjoy reading that much.But this book grabbed my attention i read a few pages and it didnt bore me.The book was very good and i didnt want to put it down.Its like a cliffhanger the whole way and the ending will amaze you.I reallyd did enjoy this book and i read it when i was in 6th gr. and i compltely understood it and everything.It was very exciting thats all i can say and for the many other people out there that dont like to read that much just read this book you wont want to quit,.And the cover may not look exciting but the book is and once u read the book it all fits in and you will find yourself always thinking you figured it out but then it changes it suspense all the way i loved it

Review: This book was awsome! I loved the whole thing. It really drew me in and i couldn't put it down! I definetly recomend it to both children and adults. The only thing is that it had a terrible cover that didn't suit the book well. When I saw the cover, I didn't think I'd like it, but i did. Don't judge this great book by it's cover!
