  Summary: too confusing
Review: I thought that the characters in the book were somewhat realistic to teens today, but he did leave out some other things that boys go through as they grow up. The storyline was horrible, it was TOO CONFUSING, it skipped around a lot between characters, and it went heavy into detail leaving out the plot(if there even is one). I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: It was interesting, but it could of been better.
Review: This book was not very well developed. He doesn't do a very good job of describing a high school and a teenage boy. He forgets what times are like now. I only read it because I had to read it in my englis class for a literature group we had to participate in.

  Summary: This book was confusing
Review: I have to read this book in my English I class. This book was so confusing! I had to read it about four or five times before I understood the book. I have read better books. The resaon I read the book was becasue I had to. This book was a one time only book.

Summary: An 8th Grader who is actually has a real view of school
Review: Robert Corimer's has a very disillusioned view of high school. This novel portrays teen-hood as a time where violence and vulgarity are more acceptible than refusing to be on the "in-crowd". He fails to include that not all high school students are willing to be sucked into a state of moral rejection and that the one's who do seem to want to do the right thing are left hurting and without inspiring their peers.

Review: This book is also my external reading book in the university.First, i found it a little difficult but then i start more and more addicted to it because of it's unique theme. i would recommend this book to all who are looking for something dirrerent but not the children after all ! i found it sad , anyway.

Summary: I thought it was a good book
Review: It was a very good book I thought the Chocolate War was a very good book. But it jumped around a lot. One chapter was about this then another about something else. It was a hard book to read. I thought there were some scene that should not have been in there. Do to the words and actions that happened and were used.

Summary: I think it was great. It has to do with real life.
Review: This book is great, I don't understand why they would want to sensor this book. For crying out loud! is not like we haven't heard the obsene language.Kids and teenagers now days are exposed to everything, and if you take a look at what teenagers and kids read and watch these days all you see is obsene language and humor to it.No matter what anyone says I support Robert Cormier with his books.I love the books and that's that.

  Summary: Different and unrealistic...
Review: The majority of the book was written well and kept your attention. But the ending of the book was very unrealistic and could most likely never happen. The book definately related to high school males more than anything. It was a little bit too descriptive of the character's actions. I would not recommend this book to young children.

Summary: This book is different than other things I have read...
Review: in the sense that it's slightly "jacked up". I liked it, don't get me wrong, but I just found it so... different. It was a little hard to get into for the first few chapters. It wasn't really until about the ninth that I started to find it interesting. The ending was really messed up, but for some reason I found it sad. I'd recommend it only to someone who doesn't have any problems with reading violence or mild sexual content.

  Summary: confusing book
Review: I don't understand the theme of the story at all. There are too many chapters so I am confused to follow. If you don't want to have a headache, please don't read the chocolate war. PS I have to read this book because I am forced to as it's an external reading.
