Review: I loved this book. It had all the things I look for in a book: action, mystical creatures, and weird names! In some spots, the suspense was terrible! It was lent to me by a friend and I grew impatient waiting for him to lend me the sequel. The trilogy is a must read for everyone. P.S. I don't care what critics say, this book is awesome for readers of all ages!!!!!!!

Review: Jane Yolen has blessed the world of science fiction readers with an excellent work that is quite difficult to put down. The reader become's a part of the world of Jakkin, the poor stable boy with big dreams, as he secretly trains a stolen dragon to be a fighter. This book's low points are difficult to find, and it's high points consistantly abound throughout the entire book. I highly reccomend it to anyone with an interest in being sucked in to a facinating world very far away.

Review: Although probably a book for younger readers, this book still holds first place in my list of books. I've read so many of Jane Yollen's books since she is some how related to me. I loved them all, but this one is the best. I recomend it to anyone, even if they aren't so interested in dragons or fantasy books, they'll fall in love when they read this one.

Review: Although this book is recommended for younger readers, I recommend it for anyone who likes good stories with a tiny touch of Sci-Fi / Fantasy! The other books in the trilogy are wonderful as well, it's sad that the story ever ended.

Review: This is the first book that I've read by Jane Yolen and I think it should be among the classics. It is beautifuliy written and it has a good plot. Jakkin, a young Dragon bonder, steals a dragon in hopes to earn his freedom. He, in the end, earns it. There are two sequles, which are also very good. I recommend this to anyone who likes Fantasy and adventure.

Review: CBS Storytime showed the cartoon of this book way back and it just made me want to read the book. This was one of the only books where the book is about the same as the show. If you love drgons you must read this series.

Review: This book was amazing I have read a lot of Jane Yolen books and she is a great author but this one topped them all. The story about the adventure to raise a dragon and to keep it a secret takes so many interesting turns. Everyone should read this book.
