Rating: Summary: I read this book as an assignment in Miss Joshua's class. Review: Rumble Fish is book about gang street fighting and growing up. The book is named after a fish that has to stay in separate tanks because they will kill each other. The best reason to read this book is to learn about gang street life. This book is also good to read 'cause you can get your heart broken. But my heart didn't break.
Rating: Summary: Even the toughest cats have feelings Review: Rusty-James is a tough hood who has an even tougher brother. For a tough cat Rusty has a bad habbit of getting attached for things. Rusty misses gang rivelry. His brother says it will come back-if he lives that long. Just like her other books S.E.Hinton tells a tale of a boy living on the wrong side of the city, who aches for something better. Rusty has a friend exactly the opposit of him. Rusty could have been happy to see ol'Steave if he hadn't brought back all the memorys Rusty had tried so hard to forget. Another heroic story which makes young adults more informed about the world we live in.
Rating: Summary: It was the only book I ever finished and enjoyed. Review: This was a great book. I much enjoyed the way that S. E. Hinton expressed Rusty-James additude towards the street life. It is very good and you should read it to.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: This book was just excellent, and thats all there is to it
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best books i've read Review: I first read this book when i was 14 (WOW! 18 years ago). It was the first book i'd ever finished and it turned me from a not so street-wise punk to a person who enjoyed reading. I could really relate to the characters so i guess it sort of changed my life for the good.
Rating: Summary: It was the best book I have ever read!!! Review: I thought that Rumble Fish was the Best Book I have ever read. I was up all night Reading this book.I highly recommend this book
Rating: Summary: I really liked this book! It was GREAT!! Review: I got this book after reading,"The Outsiders!" I figured since the Outsiders was good this would be too. I was right! It really related to real life! And also to us young adults!
Rating: Summary: gooooooood. Review: this was a really great book. sad though, and I wished that the ending could have turned out some other way. any other way........
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Book I Ever Read Review: Most books I have read about High School life are boring, S.E. Hinton's Rumble Fish was amazing because it seemed to be a world with no parents. I think Susie Hinton really captures what it is like to be an adolescent guy. The greatest aspect about it is how Rusty-James seemed to die alot. But thencome back to life. S.E. Hinton is a truly magnificent authour who really captures adolecsent life.
Rating: Summary: Not the Best Review: Though it had its moments, I thought that Rumble Fish was S. E. Hinton's worst book. I didn't like the characters that much. The main problem with this book is that it tries to be as good as the Outsiders, but dosn't even come close. The title is awful!
