Summary: Old fashion romance
Review: Out of Time is the companion to Both Sides of Time. Annie Lockwood is back with another adventure back in Time. This time her falling takes place in New York City where she and Strat meet again. Now that Strat and Harriett are married, Annie doesn't think she has much of a chance with Strat anymore. With Harriett sick with Consumption, Strat ends up investing more of his time in Annie. He is the only one who believes that she traveled 100 years from the future, and that triggers a very shocking reaction from his father. His father admits him to an asylum! Can Annie save her beloved Strat and keep her already shambled family together?

This is a great series for anyone who adores the old-fashioned ways of courtship and wind-swept romances. The characters are so believable that even I thought I was trapped in Time.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST!
Review: Out of Time was a great book! I personally felt that the first one was better, but the continuation of the love story was incredible! I can not wait to read the third one! And I hope there is more to come!

Summary: This book was awesome!!!!!!
Review: Out of Time was so good that when i was supposed to go to bed i would sneak in an extra chapter or two. I love how Cooney writes her books and how she goes in to such detail. I am about to start Both Sides of Time, and if it is as good as this book it will be a #1 book.

Summary: Good old-fashioned chase
Review: This book has excellent pacing and no waste of words. Annie Lockwood, a girl from the 20th century, makes her way back to 1895 to be with Strat, a young man she met during her first travel back in time. She thinks it will be a romantic romp but before she knows it, she's on her way to an insane asylum to break out Strat. Dastardly Walker Walkley is hot on her heels and you can almost hear the thundering piano.

Sure the story is a bit melodramatic, sure the author gets a bit preachy about women's place in society (some of the men's opinions are two-dimensionally barbaric, you can almost see them twist their mustache), but supporting characters like Strat's sister Devonny and several others are so well-crafted they jump off the page. The danger Annie, Strat, and Harriet are in is palpable. These two factors alone make up for the less-than-stellar bits.

My only true complaint with the Time series is that the author doesn't seem to be on Annie's side. Ms. Cooney seems to be telling the story from an adult's point of view, exasperated with Annie for being a flighty teenager.

Otherwise I recommend this book for those who want to read a good chase. The ending is a tad ambiguous, but satisfying.

Summary: sequels r never as good!
Review: this book is a disgrace 2 the first. i don't know why caroline b cooney decided to write it... or publish it for that matter. it is in-comprehensible and the ending is just an encore of the first! if you have read the first book and are want 2 read the sequel, forget it.

Summary: "Out of Time" is the best
Review: This book is sooooooo good. I finished the first book ("Both Sides of Time") last night. I wanted the second one so my dad and I got it the same night. I just finished it and it was really good. I was crying so hard. I've never cried over a book like that before. It is just as good as the first one, and even more sad. You will really enjoy this book.

Summary: Great.
Review: This book really offered the closure I needed after Both Sides of Time. Caroline B. Cooney did a really excellent job. After I read this book all my friends did too, and now we all want our own 'Strat'. All in all this was a very enjoyable book.
