Summary: This is a superb book......
Review: I would highly recommend this book for teens as well as parents in stepfamilies, or those families who are in process of forming stepfamilies. Lisa Stadler's approach on this difficult subject is very realistic, helpful and real-life experiences. Being a teen and being in a stepfamily can be a challenge. This book will be helpful to get through the real change in life for teens as well as parents.

Summary: down to earth
Review: this christian book is a great, down-to-earth, realistic book helping kids deal with being a teen or pre-teen in different step family relationships. the book is written with different scenarios and characters that kids can relate to, in a language kids can understand. i would recommend this to any christian family in need of guidance in these situations.

Summary: Step-Teen Situations Discussed on their own Level
Review: What a tremendous book! Highly recommended for Christian step-teens who find themselves suddenly thrown into a step-family relationship. The book touches very thoroughly on underlying problems that step-teens face. Lisa Stadler depicts a different problem in each chapter, written in a way that teenagers can follow easily. She presents the step-teen's angle of looking at things and their step-teen way of reasoning. The problem is then discussed and examples are often given from Bible Stories to help troubled step-teens think about their problems and provide ways they can deal with them. Each chapter suggests that they talk with God for help and guidance in dealing with the new life they now face. The author even has a little prayer in each chapter to help them in their conversation with God. Bible sayings are often quoted. This book was hard to put down. Teens have very many sensitive feelings growing up and to be faced with such an enormous change in their life is a strenuous burden at times. Lisa Stadler spells out in a very defining way the innermost sincerest thoughts coming from these young men and women, who really didn't have a choice but have to learn to persevere.

Summary: "I Didn't Ask For This" by Lisa Stadler
Review: You can definitely tell that Lisa is writing from her own experiences as well as other teens or adults who have gone through similar crises within their blended families.
Someone going through remarriage or having to live with stepchildren can certainly benefit from reading this book.
Lisa uses the Bible and God as examples of helping people deal with their problems. It is very well written. I am glad I bought and read the book.
