Review: I have always felt like Annie Lockwood, a hopeless romantic in the wrong century. When my teacher handed it to me and told me I'd like it, I didn't think it'd be all that interesting. Boy, was I wrong! After the first few chapters, Ms. Cooney's words had entranced me, and I couldn't put the book down! I definately recommend this book to anyone looking for a romance they haven't found yet!

Review: I got this book from a school book order because it "looked interesting". Boy, am I glad I did! I love books about when everyone was distinguished and formal (ie. about the 1800s and before). If you love romance, suspense, the 1800s, or just reading...you'll LOVE THIS BOOK!

Review: This is one of my favorite books! My other favorite is Out Of Time- I can't wait to read the threequal that is not out yet: Prisoner of Time! I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I did. I found myself in tears at this tearjerking romance novel. Caroline B. Cooney is a very talented author/writer- Note to Caroline B. Cooney- If you are looking at this- PLEASE TURN THESE BOOKS INTO A SERIES! i ENJOYED READING THESE BOOKS SO MUCH ( I haven't read Prisoner of Time yet) I DON'T WANT IT TO END!

Review: I really really liked this book. It was hard to put down once I started reading it, because it was so suspensful and romantic. I am currently reading the second book, and am finding it equally exciting. Caroline B Cooney is a great author, and this book is no exception!

Summary: A Sad ending with a romance twisted into one
Review: The book shows the identity of the past of how the women were treated and how'd Annie changed all that. It made me interested in the fact that Start had loved Annie so much that he looked for her when she left and got whipped because of his love. Read it and you'll be into it and want to read the sequal.
