Rating: Summary: Outstanding novel Review: I thought this book to be one of the best novels that I've read. I also did a duo interpertation of this book for speech and my partner and I did very well we took sixth in state. Anyone who gave it less than at least five stars can't see the true meanings and feelings that the author intended for this book. It show's peoples differences with one another, but how they can still be connected. This book was awesome.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever written Review: This book is probably the best book that I have ever read and is the only book that has gotten me interested in writing for a english class Idependent Study Unit (I.S.U.) A must for every reader in the world
Rating: Summary: A great story that is fun to read. Review: When I started to read John Steinbecks's, Of Mice and Men, it was really hard for me to put the book down. The book was filled with suspense and dramaall the way through. I thought this was a great story of two guys who loved and cared for each other, and I thought this book showed how people can be different, but can still be friends. This book had two man characters, Lennie and George. They were both different, but shared similarities. I thought the description of the Lennie was great, and as the story went on, the closer I became to him. I thought the author did a great job when he talked about George. George was a kind, hardworking, and a smart man that could be nice to Lennie when he needed him, and he was sometimes hard on him when his patience ran out. Although Lennie caused some trouble every once in awhile, George fussed and him but he knew Lennie didn't mean any harm, so he worked hard to get them out of trouble. As the story went on, I loved to read about their friendship. It showed how much a great friend George was and how strong a man he was. John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men is a must read. Ian McMichael
Rating: Summary: I'm Lennie Review: Very sad and emotional. Anyone who understands what it is like to be different will be moved by the characters in John Steinbecks masterpiece. Steinbeck made me feel like I was there and witnessing the action. I never saw myself as George, I was always Lennie. It made me understand being mean to others never helps the situation.
Rating: Summary: very good Review: this book is very good, I couldn't put it down. the whole book was perfect, it was old fasion.
Rating: Summary: Of Mice & Men was a wonderful book Review: Of Mice & Men chronicles the relationship between two men, Lennie and George, particularly the dream they are pursuing, "To live off the fatta the land," and the special friendship they share and lose. The story combines American history along with tragedy and a marvelous plot. I immensely enjoyed this book. John Steinbeck not only conveys the simple concept that Lennie, a mentally ill man, is not just another responsibility that George must tend to, but a true friend. The book touched me and was the first to draw tears from my eyes. It was remarkably well written and is the finest short novel I have ever read. The only downside to the book was that it was very depressing, especially in the last thirty pages when the plot deeply saddens. I have decided to read other Steinbeck novels because of the deep emotion the book shares with the reader.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book, One of the Best Ever Review: The book was very moving. A monumental achievemant by Mr. Steinbeck. Very unexpected ending. Sad.

Rating: Summary: sweet Review: I haven't read the book, but i've seen the film at school, and I found it very sweet. The worst thing about it was that we had to write a 4-page essay in English about it afterwards. I think the film was very interesting, and I feel sorry for Lenny.
