Rating: Summary: Can't get a much better book. Review: I actually didn't think I would like this book much, but it surprised me. San Francisco Earthquake is a great book that you could read over and over. It is about Sierra who is an orphan and she works as a maid for a hotel. Joseph is a rich, but not extravagent rancher's son. When his family comes to stay at the hotel, he is interested in the pretty dark-haired Sierra. However, Sierra thinks that another guy is the one for her, and is quite shy around Joseph. Until they meet up in the middle of the earthquake.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL!!!! Review: I could not put the book down! When I was finished, I ached for more. The book really deserved the five star rating I gave it.
Rating: Summary: Great Story Line! Review: I loved this book. The Author weaves the characters together so intricitaly. The story never has a dull moment. It is so worth the money.
Rating: Summary: GREAT! Review: I loved this book. It's good if you just want a love story. The disaster is rather downplayed and the ending comes very quickly. Ms. Duey would be a phenomenal writer if she just wrote longer books. In EARTHQUAKE, as in HURRICANE, the ending comes so quickly without any prelude to it. It's almost as if Ms. Duey was trying to hurry the ending along. The romance would be extremely well written if only it were longer. But, all in all, if you don't mind cheesy books, this is a great book.

Rating: Summary: A Great Story! Review: I really enjoyed this book. It is a wonderful love story aboutSierra (a poor orphan maid) and Joseph (a rich rancher) and all thetrouble they have getting together. It also has lots of really cool stuff about life in 1906 and about the terrible earthquake! I think it would be fun to live back then after reading this book except for the earthquake! I would love to read more books by this writer because she knows how to make readers laugh and cry! I think everyone who likes romance stories or stories about long ago should BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

Joseph is twenty-one, and his father, a wealthy cattle rancher, is pressuring him to find a wife. When Sierra and Joseph fall in love, Joseph knows his father will never approve. But during the earthquake, their love grows stronger. Will they survive the terrible destruction? I absolutley loved this book!

Rating: Summary: AWESOMe book!! a MUST READ! Review: San Francisco Earthquake, 1906 is by far the best book out of all historical romances. It's a love story between hotel maid Sierra and rich guy Joseph. This book not only has excitement and real historical disasters, it focuses on a love that wouldn't die, even in the midst of all danger. The author, Kathleen Duey, uses really descriptive words and phrases to make your imagination soar into the sky. Anyone who has read this book will agree that you get caught in the romance and danger; it's almost like you're one of the characters. This is an excellent, must read book! :) ENJOY! :)
