Summary: A great book for all ages!
Review: I loved this book. In my opinion it's good for all ages, even adults can have fun with it. I've read several of Mr Sachar's books and they are all VERY fun. His constant switching of time makes the book even more enjoyable!

Summary: Holes by Louis Sachar
Review: Holes is a wonderful book for the young reader which will jumpstart kids' imaginations. Because of it's well construted structure, Holes won the Newberry Medal fot hte most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
Stanley Yelnats is a young teen who is gioing to camp Green Lake for the summer, but this is no fun camp, it is a camp for juvenile delinquents. In fact there is no lake and definately no fun. There, Stanley meets a crazy group of guys called Armpit, X-ray, Zigzag, Magnet, Squid and Zero. They named Stanley, Caveman, but it isn't as good as it looks, because each day the kids have to dig a five-by-five foot hole on the bottom of he lake, "to build character". You would think they could find a way out of this, but they all fear the warden, who was knowen to kill kids who disobeyed her.

During the story, Stanley thinks to himself about his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. Stanley's family blames it on him when anything goes wrong. But there was one factor missing there. How did his great great grandfather become so unlucky? It was because of Kissin' Kate Barlow, who robbed him and left him and left him in the desert. Some people said that she buried her treasure out here somewhere. Could it be that the Warden is making them dig to try and find Kissin' Kate's teasure, or is there something else we don't know?
This is an exciting and exhilarating story that will amaze you. Your breath will be taken away by Stanly's actions and how he slips out of the warden's grasp. But can he do this forever? Don't be surprised if you can't put the book down beacause that is what happened to me when I read the fbulous book Holes.

Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK HOLES!
Review: If you read this book I am sure that you are going to love it. First I thought this book was about holes and how people dig them. I was incorrect. I don't want to give the book away, but lets just say it is about a boy who has to dig holes for a crime that he did not do.

Summary: The Book Full Of Holes
Review: Is there anything wrong in Camp Green Lake? Holes is an amazing and excellent book. Holes is written by Louis Sachar and the book is realistic fiction. Stanley Yelnats is a young boy. His family is under a curse and that curse started when his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather was alive. The curse made his whole family has really bad luck.
This story happened when a kid stole a baseball player's best shoe. Then the kid was sent to Camp Green Lake, that's the place to turn bad boys into good boys by digging a hole everyday under the flaming fireball.
Stanley was arrested and was given a choice either to go to Camp Green Lake or to the dark jail. He was innocent and he was not the person who stole the baseball star's shoe. He was arrested because of his bad luck and he knew sooner or later he would get bad luck. He was told to dig a hole everyday under the sun to turn back to a good kid. One day Stanley finds out the warden, a women, wants them to dig a hole everyday is because she thinks there is a box that has her name on it. Stanley finds the treasure, but will he get rewarded? It is for you to find out. So get reading!!
I recommend this book because its got a brilliant story and I bet everyone who reads it will love it!! I also recommend this book because it is exciting and adventurous.

Summary: A really good read.
Review: When I first read a description of "Holes", I was immediately interested. I can definitely see why it received such a great honor, the Newbery Medal. "Holes" is the story of Stanley Yelnats IV (his name is a palindrome.) He is framed for a crime he did not commit, and chooses to go to a special camp for juveniles rather than to jail. (Stanley's family has had bad luck all the way back to Stanley Yelnats I, who broke a promise to a gypsy.) Camp Green Lake, however, is nothing like Stanley expects. As the author informs us on the first page, there is no lake at Camp Green Lake. It dried up years ago. The boys who live there are forced to dig a 5-foot hole every day. Sachar leaves "holes" in the story, jumping back and forth to different places and times, but they are filled in, and the secret of Camp Green Lake is finally revealed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little suspense and a lot of fun.

Summary: Holes Class Review
Review: Our class read Holes together. Stanley is the main character and he does have some bad luck. He starts the book at Camp Green Lake, a sort of a prison. Holes is a great book because it's a mystery. You won't want to put this book down. If you're ready for a big adventure and lots of suspense, pick this book. Everything in Holes all comes together at the end. There's something cool about Stanley Yelnat's name. Try to figure it out.
