Review: This book showed the true courage girls can have if the feel strong about something. Chalotte was very very brave for sticking up to Captain Jaggery and proving to the crew she could do anything they could and probably better! READ THIS BOOK IT'S ABSOLUTLY WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: I couldn't put it down!!!
Review: This book is wonderful. I thought it was a true story because it seemed so real. I can't believe how brave Charolette was! I could never have survived the voyade on the Seahawk with evil Captain Jaggery. I was so mad at Charolette's father for being so mean to her and not believing her. I wish I could have just crawled into the book and taught that man a lesson! I was very surprised and satisfied with the ending. This book is highly recommended. You have to read it! E-mail me and tell me if you agree or disagree with me.

Review: Wow!!! What an excellent book! The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is diffenitly worth reading. This book describes the time setting wonderfully and makes charecters that you really can enjoy. Avi does a wonderful job of describing the ship in which most of the story takes place on. The charecter is faced with unique situations and surrondings. I strongly suggest this book to anyone, especially to those of you who enjoy adventure. This book is wonderful.

  Summary: What a Book!!!
Review: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is one of the best books I've ever read. We use it in our sixth grade classes to teach foreshadowing, description, history, and numerous other literary devices. The story is gripping and keeps readers and listeners interested. My classes always gasp when incredible events happen. Readers of all ages will thrill at this incredible adventure.

Summary: An Interesting Book, But Not Satisfying
Review: The second I picked up this book I realized I wouldn't enjoy it. It was okay, yet I felt that the characters were too shallow to do anything with. Charlotte is a little snob, who couldn't care less about others, which highly offended me. For the average book, I rate it averagely.

  Summary: "A magnificent book"
Review: I read this book last year and I loved it. I thought that it was a true work of art. Ever since I read this book I've been trying to read more of Avi's books. I would really like Avi to write a sequel to this because it was so wonderful.

Summary: An exciting and mysterious adventure!
Review: This is a wonderfully crafted novel about a 13 year old girl named Charlotte, who must travel the high seas alone with a dozen coarse crewmen and a monstrous captain. The adventure that Charlotte encounters on her way from England to her home in Rhode Island is one that challenges both her lifestyle and prejudices. This journey proves to be one that changes her life as she comes face to face with danger. It is truly a novel of intrigue and suspense as Charlotte boldly tells her tale of courage and survival.

 Rating:
  Summary: GREAT HISTORICAL FICTION!!
Review: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is a great book that places the reader in the 1830's. I truly felt like I was on the Seahawk bound for America. Avi does a wonderful job of bringing the Seahawk and this time period to life. The ending is a little hard to believe, but the true greatness of the book is found in the setting and characterization.

Review: I found this book to be imaginative and intruiging...and to say that it is only for children is a misunderstanding..it seemes like it could appeal to all ages
