Summary: This book is a perfect example of excellent literature.
Review: This has always been one of my personal favorites. Cassie Logan, along with her family, must over come the extreme difficulties of being a black family in the 1930's, a time of pure prejudice. As the book goes along, the author gives suspence and emotion to the plot, while many other intricate details are placed in to give it even more shape. The thrilling, sometimes even very emotional, story pulls you right into it, and you start to feel for the Logans'. This book gives a perfect example of our world back then, and brings us all to the reality of our past. No matter what race, age, or gender you are, this book will give you thrill from the first to the last page.
