Summary: Now I wanna watch the movie again . . .
Review: (Except I have too many other reviews to do!)

I finished this book in less than hour - it's only 170 pages long, but it certainly doesn't feel/look that long. Even a slow reader will finish this book in no time.

This is one of my fave films, and I love getting the books based on films or films based on books. This book was a definite exception, as most of them aren't very good. This definitely makes you want to watch the film all over again, reliving the best moments. Of course, some of the sex talk is cut from the book, and some other dialogue is missing - not that I can figure out WHICH, I haven't watched the film in a few months.

The chapters aren't very long, and some chapters - especially Cameron's - sometimes only have ONE line! Which is quite funny. I found Kat's chapters to be the funniest, especially the first one where she moans about her school. Also, in her first chapter, she sees this "mysterious" guy around school - who later we find out is Patrick, this wasn't done in the film.

There's also a great last chapter, from Kat's best friend (the one who LOVES Shakespeare), talking about the original, The Taming Of The Shrew. This last chapter is very interesting, as it explains how the characters got their names from the original.

You also have 8 (very fragile) pages of stills from the movie. The first one isn't shown in the movie, it must have been a cast photo, as it just shows the main characters who have chapters in this book - except Joey of course.

A terrific book for any fan of the movie and it does make it extra-tempting to read The Taming Of The Shrew.

Summary: A comedy that will have you laughing until it hurts.
Review: Could you believe having a father who won't let you date until your older "anti-boy" sister does? That's how Bianca's life is in the novel 10 Things I Hate About You, by David Levithan. Kat's Life on the other hand is just as bad. Kat and Bianca are two sisters with an incredibaly uptight father. He won't let Kat go to the college she wants, and he won't let Bianca date until Kat does (which is never). Bianca is determined to find the "perfect" man for Kat. With the help from Cameron, a guy who is madly in love with her, Bianca finds someone who is willing to go out with Kat...but is Kat willing to go out with him? You'll just have to read the book.

10 Things I Hate About You is a well written book with a lot of details about the characters. What makes it interesting is that each chapter is told by a different character. So, the reader gets to experience the action from all differnt points of view. The characters are what makes this book a five star novel. Most teenagers could find a lot of similarities with the characters in this book. Take Bianca for example. She's beautiful, very popular, sweet, and smart. Most guys in her school fall for her. Bianca's older sister, Kat, hates school and boys. She used to be popular...until she changed. Both sisters can't stand eachother. The characters in this story are believable. Their personalities are supported with a lot of details. 10 Things I Hate About You is a great book. Get it today and you won't want to put it down.

Summary: This is a great book about teenagers troubles.
Review: Imagine that you are a young teenage girl. And all that is on your mind is boys, boys , boys. One day this really cute guy comes up to you and asks you out. You say yes. You go home and tell your dad about what happened and you ask for his permission to go out. He refuses to let you go. You argue and argue with him until finally he comes to a solution. You can only date if your sister does, and your sister going out is not ever going to happen. It won't happen because your sister is a cruel person who hates everyone who crosses her path. What on earth do you do? Well that is exactly what happens in this novel 10 Things I Hate About You. The author David Lethian shows you all of the disputes and crises Bianca( the victim) adn Kat( the victims sister) go through.

This novel deserves a five star rating because it was great and teenagers can really relate to it. Teenagers will enjoy reading this because the characters are very beliveable. For example, Kat is your typical teenager. She lets things get to her sister. Kat loves to antagonize Bianca. What makes it even better is that when Kat finds out that Bianca can't date until she can, she rubs it in really bad. Things are pretty tough on those girls because they live with their very strict father who questions them if they are taking a walk. Their mother left them when they were very young. I can guaratee you that once you start reading 10 Things I Hate About You, you won't want to put the book down.

Summary: 1000000000 stars!
Review: Of course it's not better than the movie, but what is? It was so wonderful being able to play back most of the cute little lines in your head, because this book has all of the parts of the movie (except stuff refering to sex) EVEN THE CUT SCENES FROM THE MOVIE! I loved it. I read it in 2 days. Each chapter is from a different characters perspective. Each chapter is no more than 3 pages so you don't have to be afraid to start a chapter and not be able to finish it. Now I can memorize all of the cute lines from the movie and read the poem to my friends. If you like the movie and want to keep reliving it even while we anxiously wait for it to come out on video, READ THIS BOOK!
