Rating: Summary: The year i turned sixteen (alisha) Review: I would just like to say that this was a very interesting book. Not many books catch my eye but this one did. It told a story of a 16 which we can all relate to and how she struggled being 16. For one reason that i like this book is it teaches people a lesson that no matter how much money you have or where you live or anything the most important thing is that you have people that love you. It teaches people that yes your going to go through hard times but good times will come. The book cuts straight to the point with the plot which is good because it keeps you reading more. So over all i would say this is a very good book.
Rating: Summary: A great book! Review: I've read all of the books in this series, and I have to say that Rose is the best by far. It was very entertaining, I couldn't put it down. When I finished, I was craving more and went right out to get the other three books in the series. This book in narrated by Rose, the main character, so you can really get into her head and see how she is feeling. I highly reccomend this book!
Rating: Summary: It's the greatest Review: It was a great book. I really related with what the author was telling me as my father died before m 16th birthday and we went through the same thing. I think it is a really good book and I recomend it to everyone.
Rating: Summary: The Year I Turned Sixteen Review: Its not easy being 16 years old and living in Hawk Harbor were everybody knows everybody else. Harbor has only one supermarket one gas station and one bank. Rose is a young lady that has many responsibilities. She not only has to take care of her self but she also has to look after her younger sisters. Daisy is thirteen, laurel is ten and lily is eight years old. Rose didn't come from a rich family but she certanity felt rich when her boyriend bought her a very expensive red dress to wear to a party they were going to... that was only one of his rich surprises that changes Rose forever. Reading this book made me realize how lucky people really are when they say they don't have anything. Hopefully you will see why Im saying this and maybe you'll feel the same way.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read... Review: Reading books is really not my thing but after I read this book, I was totally inspired and made me read the rest of the series and other books as well. Rose's experience was kinda frustrating(all of them did). Being the oldest sister requires a lot of responsibilities. Good thing she was able to recover. All of the four stories are great! I hope that filmmakers will make a movie out of these amazing stories.
Rating: Summary: It's about growing up. Review: Rose Walker, the oldest of the Walker sisters, has turned sixteen. She's excited upon turning sixteen. She has said that fifteen was not a good year for her because her father had died in a boating accident. When Rose turns sixteen, things do not go exactly as she expects...
Rating: Summary: Rose takes responsibility like a father. Review: Rose's father dies so then she and her sisters and have to take more responsibility. It's very sad especially how she finds out her friends like her for her appearance. At the end she and her family deals with their problems
Rating: Summary: The best book I've read!! Review: This book is great!! It is not like other books that have people in them that are beautiful, have the best mom and dad,and that are kind of rich and have no real life problems.I like it because it has real life problems. I recommend that you go out and get it right now!
Rating: Summary: The book was deliglightful just like the others. Review: This is one of my favorite books because of all the diferent subjects included. I always seem to enjoy comedic romance novels like this one.The way this series was written made me feel as though I were actually part of the story. The plot of girl whose family is not as fortunate as some who is dating a very rich country boy. I never expected some of the the things that happened to do so but that always made me want to read more which I suppose is what the author wanted. After reading this book i also read the rest of the series and passed them on to my friends and they loved the books too. My alltime favorite book of the series though is Daisy because she seems so much like me. So to everyone that reads this review and the books I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. It was definitley worth my time to read them.
