These writings offer the reader a great deal to consider when thinking about the role of Americans in history. The narratives are moving and thought provoking, and really force the reader to reconsider what it really means to be an American. Questions abound about why we aren't told these stories in school, particularly regarding the role this country has played in the lives of other nations. A real "based on a true story" book!
