Rating: Summary: wonderful Review: I read this book for school and I think it's one of the best books I've read. It was an easy read and had a great story line. If you like reading... romantic (i guess) books this is for you. I don't think I would recomend it to anyone over 16 or so though. It was great.
Rating: Summary: Another great teens' book by Danziger -- lots of fun! Review: Kendra is dreading a summer with her brother and with the son of her parents' friends. It's made worse because all Kendra's friends are out of town. The collective parents plan to make the summer more fun by organizing a scavenger hunt within New York City. The hitch is that it has to be done as a team. The prize is a trip for the whole team -- to England. Frank, who's never been to New York before, finds as much new stuff as do Kendra and her brother, "O.K." Paula Danziger had a knack with making learning interesting and fun. She draws colorful characters -- in this as well as in all her books -- with whom many kids can relate. They're not the most popular kids in school, but they're interesting and fun and the kind of kids with whom I wanted to be friends when i was in school. The interactions between teens of both genders, as well as between siblings of both genders, make for a delightful story, worth reading again and again.
Rating: Summary: How could you not?? Review: The Book "Remember Me to Harold Square" is a great Novel. It is about a girl named Kendra Kaye who dreads about the decision that she has to stay with a boy name Frank (Her Parents Friend's Son) that she hardly knows and that she has to do some dumb Parents Scavenger Hunt in which she has to do with her pesty younger brother (O.K). This trip doesn't turn out so bad after all! Instead she starts to understand boys and even start to like them! Frank turns out to be a Great Guy who is everything she dreamed of!
Rating: Summary: Remember me to Harold Square Review Review: This book is about a scavenger hunt in New York City. The main characters are Kendra, Oscar, and Frank. Kendra is a young teenager who is very energetic and trust worthy. Oscar is Kendra's little brother and he is very annoying. Frank is the son of family friends and he is fifteen. They have been given this task by their parents to learn more about New York. The prize is a trip to England. To complete the scavenger hunt they have to go to new places and try new things. For example they had to go to the Holocaust Museum, a movie studio where they filmed a soap opera called "All My Children", and even try sushi! This book is very interesting because their scavenger hunt is always so unpredictable. All the jokes Oscar does are so funny, for example he calls himself ok because his innitials are O.K. and Kenra kk because her innitials are K.K. The things that go through Kendra's mind are also very funny, like when she starts wondering what Frank looks like. You can feel that you are in the book because the author describes it so well that everything can be pictured in your mind. She also makes it easy to understand and a lot of fun because you want to know what the characters will do next. I really recommend this book to anyone who likes humurous books.
