Summary: Replaced my DayRunner after 10 years
Review: After a decade of lugging around a DayRunner, and joking about losing my life if it were misplaced, I replaced my old reliable friend with this new one. True, it cost 30 times the price of an annual refill, but it "hotsyncs" with my computer and as a traveller, it stows much more easily in my carry-on than the DayRunner. As much a toy as a tool, it is a powerful device that tracks things in two places: if lost, it can be replaced, and the information is always backed up on my notebook computer.

I'd recommend it to someone interested in harnessing the power and capabilites of the digital age.

Summary: good size but difficult data entry
Review: Everyone knows the Pilot is a wonderful take-along source for retrieving data. For a one-way device it's fine. The "graffiti" handwriting recognition takes some getting used to, and most difficult for left handers. Almost impossible to take notes in a meeting because it's so slow. Data entry is best done from your PC/Mac, not from it's screen. You owe it to yourself to check out the Psion Series 5.

Summary: Best PDA, but still could be improved
Review: I agree with most of the posts on the site -- this is the best-designed PDA for common tasks. My nits: it should be thinner and sturdier. For example, it will not survive a back pocket, it will look too geeky in a shirt pocket, and it's too thick too look good in an inside jacket pocket.

My other nit is it lacks built-in communications, but I the Palm III goes a long way toward solving that complaint.

Summary: Don't leave this site without it
Review: I am a high school student and have used my PalmPilot for several years. It is an invaluable tool in keeping track of assignments, dates, phone numbers, etc. I also signed up with a service called InfoRover that lets me keep an up-to-date, customizable, newspaper on my Pilot. This allows me to know what's happening in the world around me without bringing a newspaper everywhere with me. An excellent product all around.

Summary: Love the PalmPilot
Review: I can do just about anything on my PalmPilot. I like it a lot better than the Franklin Day Planner. Not only that, it's portable so I can write as I go.

Summary: Good tool to get organized!
Review: I have always liked being able to write things down on paper and write things on a tiny calender....no more! This is a great tool to help yourself in both your business and personal life. I found my old organizer to be very UN-organized - besides, I can hardly read my tiny writing of extremely important things! And I'm a salesman!

Summary: My boss can't live without it
Review: I have seen my boss use many different products to keep track of things. I have used some of them myself, but the Palm Pilot is the best thing since the invention of white bread. It holds addresses, names, appointments, reminders, lists, you name it and it is download/uploadable to your pc. What could be better? My boss is planning on getting them for each of us.

Summary: This product changed my life for the better!
Review: I never go anywhere without my Pilot!

Now I have upgraded it to the Palm III features (except the back-lit display).

Great user interface on the hand-held and good interface on the desktop program. Lots of great third pary software and hardware available, too.

Summary: Excellent!!!
Review: Key word - Portable. All the required functions of a day organizer in a compact easy to carry unit. Easy to use, lots of free software on the Net. I never leave home without it.

Summary: Has been working great for the last 7.5 years!
Review: My PalmPilot Personal has been working great everyday in the last 7.5 years. It only has minor scratches in the graffiti area. I use lower voltage NiMH rechargable batteries with it so I think it is going to last a while. And it is made by US Robotics, and I get some attention when I bring it out of my leather belt clip case and use it.
