Summary: Attractive, Concise, and Informative!
Review: I'm currently planning/dreaming our first trip to France and have spent a lot of time browsing through the various guides and reading the reviews on amazon. I was surprised by how attractive and clean the layout of this guide is - I bought it on-the-spot!

The big thing this guide seems to have going for it is that it combines many of the best features of several leading guides into one. Each of the 450+ pages has several full-color pictures and at least a quarter of the pages have color maps! It would appear that every city, town, and attraction of interest is included. Information gets right to the point for each town and attraction and it's some of the most current information you can find - the publication date is 2004. There are also extensive listings of reviewed restaurants and hotels and a whole section on practical advice and trip planning. Oh, and guess what else? The guide includes 20 pages of detailed full-color maps in an atlas section. What a treat this guide is! I'm so glad I found it! Oh, just my own advice - In addition to this guide, I really like the travel magazine Frommer's Budget Travel - always plenty of great tips!

Can't wait to get to France and see its magic for myself!
