Review: This is a fun book for reading as well as a handy guide for planning a London pub crawl or two. The book breaks down London by area, with one or two pages on each pub of interest. Although it's not a comprehensive guide by any means, it does highlight some of the most interesting pubs in London. I visited The Anchor & Bunch of Grapes after reading this book and both were wonderful examples of different periods of pub life in London.
