Summary: Belloc's incomparable travel essays
Review: This is a representative collection of essays by Hilaire Belloc who, among other accomplishments, was one of the great travel writers of the early 20th century, and whose accounts still make evocative and lively reading today. Perhaps the most remarkable piece is "The Wing of Dalua" which tells of a night-time crossing of the Pyrennes, which verges on the eerie and supernatural.
