Italy: Trip Planner & Guide

Summary: Not helpful unless you are travelling in Italy by car!
Review: Not the best guide to Italy for travel by rail, nor for the first time visitor. Although it provides what appears to fairly good descriptions of sites to see and cities to visit, it is geared for the affluent tourist looking for the less travelled path. I needed a more basic Italy travel guide so I was very dissapointed. I guess should have read a bit farther into the book than the cover before I purchased it; it claims to be "The all in one guide", but it doesn't even give you distances between cities, or more than a few hotel choices for each city. My advice, buy a Lonely Guide.
