Summary: Recommended!
Review: If you are interested in Arizona byways, as well as highways, this book will be a welcome addition to your library. Some of the hotels described here are relatively well known-El Tovar on the south rim of the Grand Canyon and the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix fall into this category-while others are more obscure, but still worth pursuing. Some of the old buildings still function as hotels, while others have been closed or converted to other uses. Victoria Clark makes it clear which are which in her informative text. The illustrations-reproduced from old post cards-are delightful. Recommended!
