Review: Now comes the Iowa 24/7 book, one of 50 state-themed books being issued before Christmas from the America 24/7 producers. Where the America 24/7 book had a few dozen Iowa images, this one is solely Hawkeye State material. All the photos were taken in the same mid-May week in 2003.

Add to that the wonderful preface to the book, written by yours truly, and you have a real winner. Let me say right now that I have no stake in the the financial future of the book.

I was worried that we'd see a book top-heavy with pigs, farmers and cornfields - you know, how other people see us. What I found was a book that's filled with Iowans enjoying the simple, vibrant, varied and fulfilling lifestyle Iowa has to offer.
