Summary: A Dandy Guide To A Dandy Town
Review: Frankfurt probably doesn't rank very high on the must see lists of the many people who vacation in Germany every year, and that's a shame, because this great city is definitely worth a couple of days. Many people however, visit Frankfurt on business each year, because the city has an incredible trade fair facility: the Messe. The Frankfurt Book Fair, founded in the late 1400s, is the world's largest and most important book fair and it is held at the Messe every year. For those visiting Frankfurt, on business or for pleasure, the Frommer's Portable Frankfurt is a really handy book to pack along. It's a small, slender volume, so it won't take up much space in your luggage; but it is packed with valuable info on the city that will help you maximize your touring time and get the most for your money in Frankfurt's restaurants. In addition, there is a small section devoted to nearby towns for day trippers that I found particularly useful when I decided to go see the castle in Aschafensburg. Pick up a copy, it will add to your visiting pleasure!
