Rating: Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS if you want to use on PPC Review: First note, you are cool if you're using any Palm OS.However. There is NOTHING to warn you that this will not be readable on the Pocket PC - and Amazon will NOT refund your money. Frommer's uses Adobe's Document Rights Management encryption technology - which would be all fine and great except, while Adobe requires you use Microsoft's Passport authentication, THEY DON'T SUPPORT MICROSOFT'S PDA OS!! Yes I know you think you have Adobe Reader for the Pocket PC - it will do you no good; you must have activated DRM to read this title, and DRM is not supported for the Pocket PC. Shame on Frommer's for requiring a format that can't work on half of the world's PDAs, shame on Amazon for not warning consumers of restrictions in use AND FOR NOT PROVIDING ANY RECOURSE, and finally shame on Adobe for the bizzare non-support of the primary Microsoft OS that these books would otherwise be read upon. MobiPocket.com here I come. Amazon will never get my e-business again.
Rating: Summary: The only book I really needed Review: I have the 18th edition of this book, and I have to say, it's the only book I really needed for my 5-day trip to England three years ago. It had information on good, affordable but nice places to stay, the main tourist attractions in each area, and helpful tourist tips. I bought 3 books but ended up only really using this one.
