Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Totally Useless -- Rough Guides treats you as a criminal
Review: While I generally like and respect Rough Guides (that's why I bought one), the e-book (or should I say f-book?) format is totally useless. You cannot print any single page of it. This means that you have to read and memorize the whole guide because you will not be able to bring it with you (unless you carry your PC around, of course).

The list of "restrictions" continues: you cannot copy it (so if you download it in your PC, you cannot make a copy for your lap-top). You may want to print the subway map to bring it with you right? Forget it, you cannot even copy-and-paste a single paragraph. You cannot lend it to any one (sorry travelmates). Nor give it to any one (yes, even if you "bought" it). You cannot even use the "Loud Button" (a text-to-speech feature of Acroban e-book reader) to listen to the book.

Obviously, I was not informed of any of these "restrictions" before I bought the book.

As a conclusion, unless you are a computer hacker who can avoid this restrictions, please don't buy this f-book.
