Summary: Excellent for planning
Review: This map is quite detailed, and it includes street listings if you are unable to find a spot. I like that it's laminated, and it has useful facts about the location, where to get information, etc. The only drawback is that this map is FULL SIZE. Basically, I am enjoying using it for planning, but I can't picture myself walking around the streets of Venice holding a huge map in front of me. It's SO touristy. I have a Venice Blue Guide that has map pages in the back. Although not as nice, they are more useful and discreet. I would suggest picking up one of each, and you should be set!

Summary: Insight Map Venice
Review: The guidebook maps will get you to Piazza San Marco, but they won't be of much help in finding that off-the-beaten-path mask store that a friend recommended. The Insight Map for Venice is very, very detailed. And it also has some sightseeing and getting-around tips. Laminated for durability, it won't split at the folds, as most well-used maps will.
