Summary: Great resource
Review: My wife and I will be relocating to the Triangle and managed to find a copy of this book. It has information about everything from restaraunts, to living arrangements, day trips, and more. If you will be heading to this area to live or just visit, this book is packed with ideas and things to see and do.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Indispensable...
Review: The only thing disappointing about this book is to read that the 9th edition is the last one published. We have used it for several years and still find reasons to use it. I really had hoped to get a newer edition...ads--schmads -not a problem!!! So much info that it should be part of EVERY newcomer's arrival to the Triangle area.

Summary: I suspect this presents only half the picture
Review: This book is definitely full of useful information, and it IS the only one of its kind for the Triangle. Still, the fact that they sell advertising in the book really makes you wonder: how objective is it? Also, the text is relentlessly positive, forcing prospective Triangle residents with valid questions--e.g. What parts of town are dangerous? What restaurants should I avoid at any cost?--to search elsewhere for answers. Problem is, this is the only book of its kind. Useful but more than a little frustrating.

Summary: This one is a must for anyone coming to the Triangle Area
Review: This book is jam packed with great information on the Triangle Area. Great for a visit or relocation. I have lived here for over 20 years and I found out about all sorts of great places and activities in the Triangle that I did not know existed.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Covers...close to everything
Review: We relocated to Durham recently and find this book a great resource. Without it it would be difficult to locate great attractions or learn about the area.

Summary: Invaluable for visit to the area
Review: We used this book when we visited the Raleigh area last fall for everything from planning our dinners to finding a golf course to play at. I understand the previous reviewers concern towards the advertising, and do see it as a potential problem. I however think that one reviewers opinion on where to eat, what to do, etc presents just as biased a view of the area. This book seems to provide summaries of ANYTHING you could possibly want to do in the area, but finding additional information is up to you. There are plenty of on-line sites that offer many reviews of each of the things in this book, so with a little work, a pen for notes and some imagination you can easily use this book as the basis for a wonderful trip to the area.
