Rating: Summary: Amazingly handy Review: Just returned from a trip to London and was extremely happy with this book. The pop up maps were incredibly handy, the descriptions about what to do and where to go were great for first time visitors like us. Even the compass was handy, and the pen was a nice bonus. This book is just cool, with its popup maps, and its size was perfect for keeping in my purse (I don't like to haul around a lot of stuff and a normal sized book would have sat in my hotel room, which is not useful when I need it, which is while I'm out!) The cover is sturdy plastic, the pop up maps are laminated and tough. It was easy to find in my purse by feel, because of the texture of the cover. My only complaint is that I did also need to carry a full tube map, even though the book has one, as I was traveling around a lot and sometimes went outside the area the book's tube map showed. Also, many of the trains list their routes by the end-of-the-line station, which wasn't within the book's tube-map area, so you'd need a full tube-map for that as well. On the whole, though, very happy with this book!
